About Me
Hi there!
My name's Lyric. I'm 29 years old, born April 8th, and I'm a nonbinary Petz fan B)
My pronouns are he/they with a bunch of neopronouns, but those work for now. I'm polyamorous with two lovely partners, one of which being a system (and I am as well!) I'm also on the ace/aro spectrums, but on those I'm pansexual/romantic, but my biggest orientation is nebularomantic. For those who may not know, nebularomantic is when you have Brain Stuff going on that makes figuring out your orientation/feeling VERY difficult. In my case, I have BPD and that makes my emotions go very Strong, either positively or negatively, and it's the worst. I've also got a lot of Brain Squiggles going on, so if I ever seem just a little off, that probably explains why. I'll only really go into details about that stuff with close friends or my therapist B) I HIGHLY appreciate tone tags though!
I have one pet right now, a lovely chubby diluted tortoiseshell named Pixel! She was born on 4/13/15 and she's the softest cat I've ever had. Ask me how she's doing and you'll probably make my day.
My biggest hobbies, currently, are Petz, Minecraft, Warrior Cats, and drawing!
My other hobbies and fandoms include The Sims, Stardew Valley, ACNH, Pokemon, writing, thrift shopping, listening to music (hence my name obviously), and just vibing.
So I've played the games for about as long as I've had a home computer. My grandmother was VERY tech-savvy, especially for her age, and she was just as into Petz as I was. But neither of us ever thought of looking into the Petz Community! I remember she bought Petz 5 on release day and we played it well into the night, it was the best memories I have with her and I still share my Petz experiences with her to this day!
Fast forward to around... 2011? The timeline is messy haha. My birthday came up, and my best friend's mom didn't know what to give me, so she told me to pick something from Gamestop. By some miracle, I found a disc copy of Petz 5! She bought it, and I was sold. I was obsessed. I found the community, but never really interacted with it at all... I ended up just downloading a bunch of breedz and downloadable adoptions and left it at that. I played for MONTHS, and then eventually Life Happened, graduated high school, moved out, moved from Indiana to New Jersey...
Now fast forward to 2022! What actually sparked this was the movie Turning Red. I saw the tamagotchi, and was like "Ah I miss those! But I hate when they die..." Sure enough, it reminded me of Petz! The different breedz, amazing personalities, I had to play it again.
So sure enough I downloaded it and I was sold. I started getting breedz again, then realized... There's still a vibrant, active community for this little 90s game! Quickly, I joined some forums, and joined the Petzcord, and have been here ever since! No plans of leaving anytime soon.
